Garrison Law is proud to announce that our partner, Amanda DeMatteis, has been appointed to serve a three-year term on the Board of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA).
Amanda succeeds immediate past board member and fellow Garrison Law partner Nina Pirrotti, who served on the Board for its maximum term of nine years. Additionally, our associate Meaghan Kirby currently serves as the President of the Connecticut Employment Lawyers Association (CELA), an affiliate of NELA.
Founded in 1985, NELA aspires to a future in which all workers are treated with dignity and respect; workplaces are equitable, diverse, and inclusive; and the well-being of workers is a priority in business practices. Affectionally referred to as the largest plaintiff’s employment law firm in the country, NELA currently has 69 circuit, state, and local affiliates across the country that share NELA’s mission to empower workers’ rights attorneys through legal training, promoting a fair judiciary, and advocating for laws and policies that level the playing field for workers.
We congratulate Amanda on her appointment and thank Nina for her many years of service and significant contributions to NELA and its affiliates as she completes her tenure as a member of the Board!
