Garrison Law Partner Amanda DeMatteis recently joined attorney Gary Phelan for a Connecticut Employment Lawyers Association (CELA) Lunch and Learn focused on how to value employment law cases for settlement.
The virtual program brought together members of Connecticut’s employee-rights bar for an interactive discussion about the complex considerations that go into assessing the value of an employment case.
Amanda and Gary discussed the many factors attorneys must consider when evaluating cases and potential settlements. Employment cases are highly fact-specific, and determining value can involve analyzing potential damages, the strength of the underlying claims and evidence, litigation risks, and other considerations unique to each individual and their case.
Amanda previously served as President of CELA from 2019 through 2024 and still serves on the Board as Immediate Past President, in addition to her role as a Board Member for the National Employment Lawyers Association.
