As it appeared in the Connecticut Employment Law Blog
Garrison Law Partner Nina Pirrotti recently joined attorney Daniel Schwartz for another installment of their ongoing “Dialogue” on employment law issues, this time as part of an American Bar Association podcast episode.
Their conversation focused on artificial intelligence tools in the workplace and the legal guardrails that employers, employees, and attorneys should be thinking about as this technology continues to develop.
AI is no longer a distant workplace issue. Employers are increasingly using AI-driven tools in hiring, screening, evaluating, monitoring, and managing employees. As these tools become more common, they raise important questions about discrimination, transparency, privacy, accountability, and the role of existing labor and employment laws.
In the episode, Nina and Dan discuss some of the opportunities, risks, and potential legal minefields that come with the use of AI in employment settings.
Thanks to Nina for continuing to participate in these important conversations about the changing workplace.
