Partner Nina Pirrotti Featured on NBC Connecticut to Discuss The Great Resignation

Garrison, Levin-Epstein, Fitzgerald & Pirrotti, P.C. Partner Nina Pirrotti was featured on NBC Connecticut to discuss why so many employees are contemplating leaving their jobs this year. You can watch the full segment here.

In the television segment, which aired on August 27, NBC’s anchorman Dan Corcoran sought Nina’s perspective as to why employees might be inclined to seek out greener pastures in 2021 and, for those who do, how they can job search responsibly.

Nina explains that many employees who have worked remotely during the pandemic have achieved a work-life balance they had not before enjoyed in their job.  Now that employers are beckoning them to return to the brick-and-mortar workplace, they might not be eager to sacrifice that balance and may seek out employers who value a flexible work-day. Nina also notes the benefits of having a job while searching for a new one, saying, “You are a far more attractive candidate if you are continuing to be employed and productive. Ideally, I like to see employees being thoughtful about this process, taking their time figuring out what their options are, what they really want to do next, and not jumping from the frying pan into the fire.”
