Garrison, Levin-Epstein, Fitzgerald & Pirrotti, P.C. Partner Nina Pirrotti was recently quoted in a Connecticut Law Tribune article discussing a sexual assault case where a woman received $100,000 in emotional distress damages.

The article covers a case where a former Bristol Hospital employee, Laura Henry, claimed that a surgeon, Olakunle Oluwole, who practiced at the hospital, sexually assaulted her and shows how difficult it can be to prove emotional distress. Henry originally sought more than $14 million in damages, including emotional distress.

Nina is quoted in the article, saying, “I think that lawyers who seek to prove more than your garden-variety stress damages serve their clients well by providing as many different perspectives about how she suffered that emotional distress. This lawyer appeared to follow that sound approach.”
