partner nina pirrotti speaks at labor and employment law conference

Garrison, Levin-Epstein, Fitzgerald & Pirrotti, P.C. Partner Nina Pirrotti gave a presentation at the American Bar Association’s 16th Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference on November 12, 2022.

Nina was one of many prominent speakers invited to present at this year’s conference. The panel on which she moderated and spoke was entitled “U.S. Women’s Soccer: Advancing Equity & Equality through the Collective Bargaining Process” and addressed collective bargaining as a tool for advancing equity and equality through the lens of the U.S. National Women’s Soccer team’s historic pay equity settlement in February 2022. Nina’s presentation focused on an overview of pay equity laws under the Equal Pay Act and Title VII. Her co-panelist, Adam Bellotti, who serves as labor counsel to the union that represents the soccer players of the U.S. Women’s National Team, spoke about his representation of the Players in their recent round of collective bargaining, during which they finally achieved their longstanding goal of equal pay and working conditions to their male counterparts on the U.S. Men’s National team.
