Partner Nina Pirrotti Featured In New York Times Article Providing Insight Into Cuomo Sexual Harassment Inquiry

Garrison, Levin-Epstein, Fitzgerald & Pirrotti, P.C. Partner Nina Pirrotti was featured today in a New York Times article providing insight into the pending sexual harassment investigation against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. You can read the full piece here.

The investigation will be conducted in the wake of multiple women, including former Cuomo administration members, coming forward with sexual harassment allegations against the third-term Democrat.

“The end game is that a report that found him culpable would bring pressure to bear on him personally, on his regime, on the Legislature to act,” Nina explained.

Aside from any remedial measures recommended by such a report, Nina commented that: “These women do have the option, potentially, to bring claims against their employer, the State of New York, for Governor Cuomo’s conduct.”  If such a lawsuit is successful, depending upon the employee’s individual circumstances, the plaintiffs could potentially recover economic and emotional distress damages as well as other forms of relief.

Nina has written extensively about employee rights and discrimination and on the #MeToo movement and workplace sexual harassment.
