Biography
Steven Alquesta joined Garrison Law in October 2025, after serving for two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Kari A. Dooley, United States District Judge, District of Connecticut. Prior to clerking, Steve worked in the litigation department of a large law firm in New York City and for the Connecticut Division of Criminal Justice as a Special Deputy Assistant State’s Attorney in Stamford.
Steve graduated from Columbia Law School in 2021. While there, he was a submissions editor for the Columbia Journal of Environmental Law and was the president of the Columbia Law School Military Association. He also completed a judicial externship with the honorable Dora Irizarry, United States District Judge, Eastern District of New York. Steve earned his B.S. in History from the United States Military Academy at West Point and served as an infantry officer in the active duty Army from 2008 to 2018. He continues to serve part-time as a member of the Connecticut Army National Guard.
A native of North Canaan, Connecticut, Steve lives in Litchfield County with his wife Mollee, their son Harrison, three cats, and a labrador retriever.
