Last week, Garrison Law partners Josh Goodbaum and Amanda DeMatteis each presented at the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut’s Warren W. Eginton Justice Institute.
Josh’s panel discussed the anatomy and structure of a civil lawsuit, while Amanda’s panel instructed attendees about how to give an effective opening statement.
The Warren W. Eginton Justice Institute is a program organized by the District Court to educate high school students who want to learn more about the justice system and the wide range of careers it offers. The program features panelists and guest speakers representing a variety of careers within the justice system, as well as observations of live court proceedings, and culminates in a mock trial competition.
