Garrison Law congratulates our partner Josh Goodbaum on his appointment as co-chair of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Federal Practice Section. The announcement was made by the Honorable Michael P. Shea, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, at a Section meeting on June 12. Josh previously served as the Section’s secretary and is a long-time member of its executive committee.
The Federal Practice Section aims to enhance the skills of Connecticut federal court practitioners by disseminating information, raising awareness of legal or procedural developments affecting federal practice, and providing a forum for consultation and dialogue between the federal Bar and Bench on issues of rules and practice, personnel needs, and facilities.
Josh will lead the Section for a term of two years alongside Co-Chair Margaret Donovan, who is an Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Connecticut and a Visiting Lecturer in Law and Visiting Clinical Lecturer in Law at Yale Law School. The Section’s previous co-chairs were Allison Near of Jacobs & Dow and Craig Raabe of Izard, Kindall & Raabe.
Josh previously served as chair of the CBA’s 650-member Labor & Employment Law Section.
